How to make caipirinha

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Cachaça
  • 1 bar spoon of sugar or 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 lime quartered.

Instructions

  1. Place lime quarters in the bottom of the mixing glass, add sugar, and muddle.
  2. Fill a rock glass with cracked ice.
  3. Add Cachaça to the mixture in the mixing glass and the cracked ice from the rock glass. Shake well. Pour the entire drink from the mixing glass back into the chilled rock glass and serve.
  4. Another method is to build the drink into the glass you will serve.
  5. Stir well.

Notes

If made with rum is Caipirissima, use vodka, and it becomes Caipiroska.
