Margarita (1930-1940)

Nobody knows who exactly created the cocktail. Margarita is the Spanish word for “daisy,” or maybe a variation of the Daisy cocktail family.

One thing is for sure: it is a fantastic cocktail.

How to make margarita cocktail

Prep Time 2 minutes
Total Time 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz 100% Blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • ¾ fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup – optional
  • Coarse salt
  • Lime wedge

Instructions

    1. Combine the first three ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
    2. Shake well and strain into a chilled salted cocktail glass.

    Notes

Rim the glass only on the outside; otherwise, the salt will fall into the glass and change the
