Juicing and blending fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs have always been popular. Whether enjoying an early morning boosting energy juice or calming down and relaxing concoction in the late evening, healthy juice recipes can be an essential part of our daily routine.
More and more people are becoming food and beverage conscious, preferring homemade “know what is in” juices, mocktails, or milkshakes, and just trying to avoid drinks with many artificial additives and sweeteners.

Nettle Recipes

Nettle^, or stinging nettle, is a shrub from northern Europe and Asia, and it has a lot of potential health benefits. People have used it for centuries to help with health issues such as arthritis, pain, inflammation, and hay fever.

Stinging nettle offers a variety of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, polyphenols, and pigments — many of which also act as antioxidants inside your body.

Nettle Tea/Juice

2 cups of nettle leaves
4 cups of water

Add water to the leaves. Bring the water just to a boil. Put it aside and let it infuse for 5-10 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer.
Add a sweetener of choice if needed.
If drinking the tea for the first time, try it to ensure you don’t have any reactions.

Note: Wash the nettle and remove white roots; no stems or flowers. Use gloves, as the leaves may sting you.
To make juice, put the leaves through the juicer together with the rest of the ingredients of the particular recipe. The tea can be used by itself or as part of recipes.


Nettle and Carrot

3oz of nettle juice
5 oz of carrot juice
1/4 oz of lemon juice
Juice, mix, stir and keep in the refrigerator.


Nettle Trio

3 oz nettle juice
3 oz horseradish juice
3 oz sauerkraut juice (brine)
Juice, mix, stir, cool and serve with ice cubes.


Hulk Cocktail

3 oz nettle juice
4 oz horseradish juice,
2oz green onion juice
Mix, stir, and keep in the refrigerator.


Tomato and Nettle cocktail

3 oz of dry nettle
4 cups of water
tomato juice
The nettle is boiled in water for 10 minutes, filtered, and mixed with equal parts of tomato juice. It can be salted and then cooled.


Nettle and Red Currant cocktail

1 cup water
1 oz nettle juice
1 oz red currant juice
2 tablespoons sugar or honey
Mix everything until the sweetener is dissolved. Store in the refrigerator.


Veggies and Fruits

Apple and carrot cocktail

1 kg apples
1 kg carrots
1 oz lemon juice
sugar
Juice apples and carrots. Mix the juice with lemon and sugar to taste. Blend well and serve chilled.


Apples, Celery, and Tomatoes

4 ppl

500 g apples
500 g celery
1 cup tomato juice
1/2 oz lemon juice
salt, sugar, parsley
Juice apples and celery. Add the tomato, lemon juice, sugar, or salt and pour into glasses. Add finely chopped parsley.


Fruit and Vegetable Cocktail

3 oz celery juice
2 oz carrot juice
2 oz apple juice
grated lemon peel
Mix the juices and season with the grated rind.


Grapefruit Elixir

Juice of 2 grapefruits
2cups milk
3 tbsp honey
1 lemon peel
vanilla powder
crushed ice
Dissolve honey in the milk. Add the finely grated lemon peel and vanilla, and gradually, stirring constantly, pour the grapefruit juice. The drink is served in highball glasses with some ice in each.


Tomatoes, Dill, and Nutmeg

1 cup tomato juice
2 teaspoons sugar
2 pinches nutmeg
dill
Mix the ingredients and garnish with fresh dill.
Note: The claim for this drink is “Drink between 4 pm and 5 pm, and if you then dine between 6 pm and 7 pm, mental fatigue and insomnia will go away, and your sleep will be healthy”.


Vegetable Cocktail

2 ppl

1 large carrot
Three stalks of celery
1 lettuce
1 bunch of parsley
2 small zucchini (optional)
Wash the vegetables and pass them through the juicer. Drink immediately.
Note: Potential benefits – It has a diuretic effect and is excellent for calming the nerves.


Orange and Honey

1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon honey
a pinch of nutmeg
Stir until the honey is dissolved in the orange juice, sprinkle with grated nutmeg, and drink.
Note: The claim is that it helps one with anxiety and palpitations.


Low Calories Drinks

Apple and Cucumber

1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup gherkin juice
3/4 cup skim milk
dill
Small fresh gherkins are washed, and the part from the fruit stalk is cut off and grated on a plastic grater. The juice is squeezed through cheesecloth, and the apple juice is added. Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh dill.


Apple and Orange

3 oz apple juice
2 1/2 oz orange juice
3/4 oz lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Mix the juices, add and mix the grated lemon peel. Serve in highball glasses.


Apple and Prune

3 oz apple juice
1/2 cup prunes
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Soak the prunes in the evening, remove the stones and run them through the juicer. Add the apple juice and grated peel, stir and serve immediately.


Apple and Pear

3 oz apple juice
3 oz pear juice
grated lemon or orange peel
Mix the juices and grated rind, stir and serve immediately.


Apple and Dried Fig

100 g of dried figs
3 oz of apple juice
Soak the figs in the evening, drain them from the water, and put them through the juicer. Mix with apple juice and consume immediately.


Blackcurrant Milkshake

2 ppl

10 oz of cold skim milk
3 oz of blackcurrant juice
Honey for sweetening – optional
Gradually add the cold milk to the blackcurrant juice while stirring, and sweeten it with honey.


Celery, Carrots, and Apples

3 oz celery juice
2 oz carrot juice
2 oz apple juice
grated lemon peel
Mix the juices and season with the grated rind.


Celery and Carrots

1/2 cup carrot juice
1/2 cup celery juice
a few drops of lemon juice
Grated carrots and celery (on a plastic grater) are squeezed through cheesecloth, and the resulting juices are mixed. Add lemon juice to taste.


Cucumber and Cabbage

5 oz cucumber juice
2 oz cabbage juice
a few drops of garlic juice
finely chopped dill
Mix the juices, season with garlic juice, and sprinkle with dill.
Note: Cabbage pickle juice is probably the best morning hangover cure if you can find one.


Grapes and Tomatoes

3 oz of grape juice
3 oz of tomato juice
1 1/2 cup of skim milk
Mix, stir, and drink.


Tomato Cocktail

1 cup tomato juice
2 pinches mixture of equal parts ground black pepper, ginger, and long pepper.
Stir well and drink early in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait two hours before eating or drinking anything.
Note: The claim is – An effective part of an obesity weight loss program.


Tomato, Cabbage, and Parsley

5 oz of tomato juice
2 oz of cabbage juice
1/4 oz of parsley root juice
Mix, stir, and drink.
