Created by Donn the Beachcomber, the Zombie was first served at the 1939 World’s Fair at the Hurricane Bar.
The original recipe was never published, so this drink has some variations, but here is one discovered by Gary Regan, the author of Joy of Mixology.
Zombie is still one of the most popular Tiki drinks, it has many variations, and I’ve seen it made with all kinds of tropical juices, with and without the 151 proof rum. With the amount of alcohol in this recipe is better to have only one, unless you want to feel like Zombie in the morning.
